When we arrived last night the campsite was very quiet with few other campers. It gave us a peaceful night and morning. We were up late, about 09.00, had a leisurely breakfast and then set about the laundry. Luckily it was a beautiful day, so everything dried very quickly.
I’m afraid this isn’t an interesting blog day. From now on we are heading back to the U.K. via the most direct route, without using toll roads. So, unfortunately, it will be mainly driving and not much excitement.
Camping Emanuil has good facilities. Good showers and a camp kitchen, plus you can buy a few food items, such as coffee and ice creams.
We spent a lazy afternoon reading or watching podcasts in the shade and indulged in an ice cream. As the afternoon wore on, more and more campers arrived. There is now a large family gathering beside us, but they are quiet and the children well behaved.
Swallows
Swallows are nesting in the kitchen and constantly fly in and out feeding five hungry babies who are jostling for space on the side of the nest. Like the storks we have seen everywhere, they are flexing their wings and preparing for flight. I think they migrate to South Africa.
After dinner we went for a wander down by the lake. There were several fishermen, but they didn’t seem to be catching anything. During the afternoon there had been jet skis whizzing around. It is a lovely cool evening now and having said it was peaceful, there are now a lot of noisy children on the other side of the camp. Hopefully, they will settle down soon as it is getting dark at 21.00.
Tomorrow we are aiming for the Serbian border and we hope a bit beyond.

Good luck with the Serbian border!
Hi Lilian. I had forgotten Serbia isn’t, in the EU and there would be a hard border. It was very busy and very hot. Bulgaria was slower than Serbia. As there were a lot of cars, Serbia was slow, but all they do is stamp your passport. No photos, finger prints or looking at your car document. So, it was quicker than the Bulgarian side. Today we left Serbia at a tiny border. No cars in front of us, a quick stamp out and then at then Croatia border one car in front of us. 10 minutes for the whole thing. Now,nothing until we get to Calais 😀

A very interesting and varied trip kiddies. Am I imagining it or are you hankering for some wide open spaces and big horizens. Coz if you are I just happen to know where you can find them. Not far from where I sit in fact. Just saying. I presume the idler is still performing as it should, be interesting to know how your greased one compares to the other. Enjoy the drive and the rattle of a diesel, you will be electric soon.l

The idlers seem to be performing fine but will replace them with OEM when we get back to UK.
The sound of diesel will. Never be replaced by electric in the lifetime. A 5 cylinder one at that.
