We had intended just to stay here two nights, but changed our minds. It is a lovely quiet haven with great, hot showers, so we decided to have another rest day. Also, once again, the usual boring domestic duties needed attention. So, I’m afraid this won’t be an exciting blog day.
During breakfast I looked down and found the tent had been taken over by a sleeping dog. There are 3 dogs here and they are all large. 2 German Shepherds and the third, an indeterminate breed, but very big and very soppy. He didn’t want to leave the tent and once removed, kept trying to retake possession.
Repetitively, the washing was building up again, Our bedding, towels, tea towels and some clothes are now all nicely dried and folded. Dennis has cleaned and replaced the air filter, and Poki too. I’ve sewn A up a pair of ripped shorts, so now we are all ship shape and ready to roll tomorrow.
Late afternoon saw the arrival of 3 large Brazilian campers. At first they surrounded us, but they have since located to the other side of the campsite, so our peace is restored.
Tomorrow Dennis wants to get Poki’s oil changed and I need to find a supermarket. Once again rations are dwindling.
I have also done some forward planning for the next couple of days. We will head to Pichilemu on the coast after tomorrow’s chores. It is apparently a surfing spot. Next we will head back in land via Santa Cruz, in the heart of the wine producing area, then on to Curico and Talca.

Hope the dog didn’t leave any extra guests with you, as in fleas!

Hi Bridget, fortunately it was a clean dog and no additional critters were donated to us. Just a few dog hairs. X
